Saskatoon Berry Picking

In August a sister in our ward told us she had 5 acres of saskatoon bushes and welcomed us out to pick as much as we wanted. Dean took Emerson and met another family in our ward to go berry picking one night while I was at work. They brought home 2 gallons!! So now we have lots of berries in the freezer for pie and Dean made 8 jars of jam - all on his own! Not really a surprise to those of you who know Dean. He is much better in the kitchen than I am. Although this summer I did can peaches and make strawberry jam (and both turned out successful).

Anyway as you can see Emerson had fun cleaning up after getting dirty that night...
